A New Home: Facing Challenges
"I hear something surrounding us" she hissed. The others grouped into their standard circular form.
Tori looked impatient, and murmured "I don't think-" but was cut off. A rattata launched itself from the bushes, followed by a dozen more.
"It's a whole Clan!" Sakura screeched. Kaida's heartbeat kept speeding ahead of her. "Attack!" she cried.
Kaida, and Sakura combined their fire attacks into one, wiping out huge numbers, only to be replaced by twice as many. Tori swooped, unleashed bird attacks as fast and powerful as she could. Sho's electric attacks kept them at a far distance.
There are still too many! Kaida screamed in her head.

Taem and Eko walked silently back to the camp, feeling uneasy. How am I going to tell them? he kept thinking. Eko's ears shot up.
"Taem, I hear fighting!" she exclaimed, eyes wide. A look of shock flashed across Taem's face. I leave for one minute to think and they get into some kind of trouble!
The two raced to the camp as quickly as they could. How is Taem gonna tell us now? Eko thought, It'll be too...untimely

The Valley
"We have to save our energy, it's a long trek, but we'll make it, easy" Kaida encouraged.
"Is this some kind of wild Farfetch'd chase Kaida?" Taem snorted.
"A bit rude Taem, but you have a point, where exactly are we going!" Sho exclaimed.
Kaida sighed, "Trust me, this place IS forward, have a little faith in me!" she called back so everyone could hear. Sho nodded, thinking. Taem turned up his nose, Houndour Egg clutched in his arms.
After a while, the path narrowed as Kaida knew it would. "It should veer up soon" she informed them. When she saw the looks on their faces and the groans, she added "That means we're almost there". It began, slowly, to incline, and they had a tough and tiring time. However, when they reached the top...they were breathless.
"Kaida...it's perfect!" Tori chirped. Sakura, Sho, and Kage looked amazed beyond words. Taem though, was staring at something else...
"The Egg!" he cried, "it's hatching!" Kaida and the others gasped.

The Battle With the Egg
"You could've helped us fight!"
Taem rolled his eyes.
"Whatever."
Taem looked to where Tori was flying towards them.
"Guys! There's something coming our way! Hide!"
The five of them dashed into some bushes, and watched as something came into view. Taem whispered.
"What is that...?"
Kaida gulped.
"A trainer... He must be traveling."
The "Trainer" walked up the hill, towards the cave. The Houndoom came barging out, barking angrily. The trained leaped back in surprise, then smiled. He threw out this ball shaped item, a red light glowed, and suddenly a Wartortle stood where the ball had landed. Then, the trained shouted some commands, and the Wartortle leaped at the Houndoom, hitting it with a powerful Aqua Tail. The Houndoom yelped, then shot back with a flame thrower.
This went on for quite some time. The Houndoom growled softly, it's legs collapsing from beneath it. It stared defiantly at the trainer, knowing it was beaten. The trainer seemed pleased, and took out another of those ball things. Tori looked worried and spoke.
"What's going to happen!?"
Kaida shook her head.
"The trainer is going to capture the Houndoom now..."
Sakura gasped.
"No! We have to help her! She has an egg!"
Sakura seemed about to leap out of the bushes, when Taem blocked her way. He growled.
"No. You could be hurt too. We have to stick together."
Sakura closed her eyes as the trainer threw the pokeball at the Houndoom. A red light glowed again, and the Houndoom seemed to be sucked up into the ball. The ball wobbled once, twice, three times, then the fourth time there was a click. The trainer walked forward, picked up the ball, and looked triumphantly at it, before walking away again. Sakura burst from the bushes, and the others followed out more slowly.
"I wish we could have done something..."
Tori nodded.
"What about the egg?"
Sho looked down.
"Ya. We can't just leave it to die."
Kaida walked up to the cave, and touched the egg.
"It's not far from hatching. But Sho is right. We can't just let it die."
Taem snorted.
"It's just an egg. There are many other Houndooms out there."
Sakura looked sad.
"So!? We have to help it since we couldn't help it's mother! It's the least we can do!"
Taem sighed, and was about to talk when Kaida spoke up.
"Yes. We'll bring it along with us. Then once it hatches, it can go on it's own."
Sakura looked happy, and so did Sho and Tori. Taem groaned.
"Whatever. Who's going to carry it?"
They all looked at Taem, and he stepped back.
"No way!! I am not carrying an egg!"
Sho looked at his arms.
"But you could carry it the best. You have the longest arms out of those who walk on their hind legs. Considering I'm the only other one..."
Taem rolled his eyes.
"Fine. But once it hatches, it goes. "
Taem picked up the egg in his arms gently, and walked out of the cave, wanting to leave where the Houndoom had been caught.
"Are we going or what!? We still have to get to wherever we are going!"
Kaida smiled, and followed Taem, Sho, Tori and Sakura following.

A Forgotten City
When they reached it, they realized the shiny gleam was from a large shard of glass broken off from a twisted building. Looking around, they only saw five or six or what could have been twenty standing. "A ghost town" Tori whispered. "Well, that shop looks like it used to have food, let's check it out" Kaida said. They all went inside the tilted building. Flour and dough lay stale and dry atop the counter. In the fridge though, they found a container filled with poffins, concealed from dust and debris and rot. "There are at least enough for each of us to have three" Kaida told them after she counted. "Tori, once you are finished with your share, fly around looking for water, look inside standing buildings too, but be careful"
Kaida and Taem distributed the Poffins, and Tori flew off.
They lay down to rest a while. "Ohhhhhh....our place.....out" Sakura jumped so high it scared Sho and Kaida. Taem was cautiously looking around. After a silent moment, Duskull, Gastly, and Shuppet began moving through the walls. Kaida unsheathed her claws. 'It's time to bring it' she thought, and lunged toward the first Duskull, letting out a wave of fire. 'Wow, Flamethrower, my brother didn't learn that until...' she was ripped from her thoughts as a Shuppet came towards her. Tori flew in and tackled it down. Kaida nodded thanks. Their battle had just begun.

The Flight of a Shiny
He had been born in the wild. His mother had stayed around long enough to let his egg hatch, then she left him to fend for himself. He had never known anything except solitary confinement. Pokemon seemed to stay away from him, because of his odd colouring. Then he had met Kaida, the first pokemon like him. Sure, Riolu had seen many, many different pokemon, and he tested himself to memorize all the kinds he saw, but Kaida was special like him.
There was a cry overhead, and Taem and Kaida looked up to see a Taillow swirling down from the air. Fearows were behind the Taillow, chasing it. Taem gasped and he jumped into the air, right as the Fearows passed and hit them with a Force Palm. The Fearows flew away stunned, and Taem ran to where Kaida stood beside the Tailow.
Taem's eyes widened. This was no ordinary Taillow. It was green, instead of blue, and Taem immediately thought of Kaida and himself.
"You're special, like us aren't you?"
The Taillow nodded, thankfully not hurt from it's encounter with the Fearows.
"M-My name is Tori."
Tori ducked her head shyly, pressing her wings close to her sides. Taem smiled.
"My name's Taem."
Kaida nodded.
"I'm Kaida. And as you can see, we're like you. Though you aren't golden."
Tori nodded, still timid.
"I-I've never seen another pokemon like me.
"Neither have we. Kaida and I just met a little while ago."
Taem spoke thoughtfully, his mind buzzing. We all met up suddenly... what is this supposed to mean? Will more join us? Tori looked at Kaida and Taem.
"Where are you going?"
Taem and Kaida looked at each other and responded in unison.
"Forward."
Tori smiled.
"Would you mind if... I came along...?"
Taem shook his head.
"More is most likely better."
Kaida smiled, and continued to walk on.

Journey to The Valley
She had once lived in a small Village where a breeder raised Pokemon of all kinds. Kari was her mother, and she had many brothers and sisters. Kaida was "special" as her mother put it. Her fur was golden, while the rest of her family's was an auburn red. The breeder was puzzled by her and never played with her like he did her sisters and brothers, he had never seen a golden Growlithe hatch before. He only watched her. So, she spent most of her time with her mother, memorizing all the stories she was told.
Finally, Jiro, her eldest brother, challenged her. He wanted her to fight him, but she knew she would lose. Her mother stepped in to protect her, but agreed sorrowfully that Kaida must leave the Farm, as Jiro had grown stronger than Kari through training. She was escorted to the edge of the Village and they watched her as she began onto the dead plain...
Kaida was wrenched from her thoughts as she heard a cry from above. Weight instantly landed upon her back as she was pinned to the ground with a huff. "Oh sorry!" her crusher exclaimed. Whatever it was rolled off her and she stood up. It was a golden Riolu, she had seen Riolu, and he was like her, special. "My name's Taem. Sorry for falling on you, but I was chasing a Pidgey that stole my last Poffin!" the Riolu apologized. "It's ok, I understand" she replied. She nodded her head and started walking along the path again. "Wait! Where are you going!" he exclaimed. "Forward" she answered. "I want to come with you then" he said. She sighed and nodded reluctantly, but inside was glad to have a companion to travel with.
