Taem and Kaida continued to talk. Taem was mystified by Kaida's world. He had never know any of these things.
He had been born in the wild. His mother had stayed around long enough to let his egg hatch, then she left him to fend for himself. He had never known anything except solitary confinement. Pokemon seemed to stay away from him, because of his odd colouring. Then he had met Kaida, the first pokemon like him. Sure, Riolu had seen many, many different pokemon, and he tested himself to memorize all the kinds he saw, but Kaida was special like him.
There was a cry overhead, and Taem and Kaida looked up to see a Taillow swirling down from the air. Fearows were behind the Taillow, chasing it. Taem gasped and he jumped into the air, right as the Fearows passed and hit them with a Force Palm. The Fearows flew away stunned, and Taem ran to where Kaida stood beside the Tailow.
Taem's eyes widened. This was no ordinary Taillow. It was green, instead of blue, and Taem immediately thought of Kaida and himself.
"You're special, like us aren't you?"
The Taillow nodded, thankfully not hurt from it's encounter with the Fearows.
"M-My name is Tori."
Tori ducked her head shyly, pressing her wings close to her sides. Taem smiled.
"My name's Taem."
Kaida nodded.
"I'm Kaida. And as you can see, we're like you. Though you aren't golden."
Tori nodded, still timid.
"I-I've never seen another pokemon like me.
"Neither have we. Kaida and I just met a little while ago."
Taem spoke thoughtfully, his mind buzzing. We all met up suddenly... what is this supposed to mean? Will more join us? Tori looked at Kaida and Taem.
"Where are you going?"
Taem and Kaida looked at each other and responded in unison.
"Forward."
Tori smiled.
"Would you mind if... I came along...?"
Taem shook his head.
"More is most likely better."
Kaida smiled, and continued to walk on.

Tori sighed, obviously upset. She spread her wings and floated a little upward, not in the mood to talk.

*Taem shifted his feet, and jogged lightly.*
So where is this "forward" we're going to anyways? We can't just keep going forwards. anyways?

"This way", Kaida suddenly said, "I smell a fresh water stream!" She felt like she was floating threw the air like Tori, heading towards the water.

Tori glanced downward, then started to sweep down a little lower till she was able to just talk and hear Kaida and Taem.

*Taem rolled his head and ran lithely ahead, his feet carrying him quickly. He stopped suddenly.*
Quiet! What's that?
*There was a loud rumbling, and then a herd of Donphan came thundering around the corner.*

Tori narrowed her eyes as the Donphan did a roll out attack and quickly dodged it, then charged in with a wing attack, but which only managed to get the roll out attack to falter slightly.

*Taem's eyes widened and he leaped up, and ran quickly along the side of the cliff before jumping and hitting a Donphan in the head with a Force Palm.*

Kaida charged and tackled a Donphan in mid-roll. It uncurled and was about to charge. She blasted an Ember.

*Taem jumped into the air and somersaulted down, hitting a Donphan right on the back. He leaped back up, holding onto a branch on the side of the cliff.*

Tori's wings glowed she flew in for another wing attack, combined with a peck. The Donphan flinched and started another roll out attack.

Kaida took the Donphan down with a Quick Attack, and moved onto the next attacker.

*Taem leaped down, moving quickly among the rolling mass of Donphan. He ran into the shoulder of one, hitting it with a Quick Attack. Taem looked around. The Donphan were all almost gone. Taem nodded, and leaped away to Kaida.*

*Taem then noticed the Pichu.*

*Taem bent down and untied a small gold fabric from his leg. The fabric had been invisible until he had mentioned it.*
I think my mother may have left it... somehow knowing I would be golden....
*He quickly wrapped it back around his leg, looking down to see if it was noticeable, though knowing it wasn't.*
